This page, supported by the National Lottery Community Fund, will bring together helpful fundraising guides, resources and training opportunities for small charities and community groups, from both the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.

Small charities, like the whole of the UK charity sector, have been hit hard by the coronavirus crisis, and face an uphill struggle to balance the increasing demands on their services with a decrease in funding and staff capacity. While they face many of the same challenges as larger organisations, small charities often have limited budget available for training and development.

At the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, we understand the importance of the role that small charities play in our civil society. But we also appreciate that by their very nature, small charities have limited resources and staff, challenges made ever greater by the current cost of living crisis.

We are here to help.  As part of our new three-year strategy and part of our aim to be more reflective, accessible and representative of the fundraising that happens across the UK, from 1st February, we will be offering charities with an annual voluntary income of £50,000 or less free organisational membership of the Chartered Institute.

Drop us a line on membership@ciof.org.uk for further details on how to access the membership.
