Goodbye Hazel

Last month, Hazel Crombie announced she would be stepping down as Head of Scotland at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. A career fundraiser, she is staying in the charity sector and will head up fundraising at Scottish mental health charity, Health in Mind.

Prior to joining the Chartered Institute of Fundraising, Hazel worked at Marie Curie for 11 years, then Children’s Hospices Across Scotland.

During her tenure, Hazel worked closely with local members, volunteers and partners to help us emerge from the pandemic and to deliver the Scotland strategy.

I want to thank Hazel for her service. She has been a great colleague, a passionate advocate for fundraising and the fundraising community in Scotland. Hazel raised the voices of our members and volunteers in Scotland when they have sometimes been neglected in the past. She will be missed.

The Chartered Institute of Fundraising would like to thank Hazel for her work and wish her the best in her new role. We look forward to continuing the legacy of her work with the same energy and ambition.
