Regional and special interest groups

Wherever you live – from the Shetland Isles to Cornwall – our members are at the heart of everything we do.

Thanks to the commitment of the fundraisers who volunteer through our network of national, regional and special interest groups, we can offer a range of opportunities for you to meet, network and learn with other fundraisers.

Our volunteer committees will be there for you as you develop your skills through organised events and networking opportunities with other like-minded professionals. As well as developing new contacts to support you with your day to day work, don’t be surprised if you also form some friendships for life. Since 1984, when a group of fundraisers came together to set up what has now become the Chartered Institute, friendship and a sense of belonging has always been at the heart of what we do.

As well as the engagement led by our national committees in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland our 10 regional committees in England are busy engaging with fundraisers within their communities.

Our Group structure is supported by our three volunteer Chairs of Chairs, Sally Insley for our Regional and National groups, Tom Dixon for our Special Interest Groups and Bronwyn O'Riordan for our Scottish groups.

You will find contact details for the committees leading our work in the regions on their dedicated pages.

Being part of a group is fantastic. I get to work with a great committee of super capable, caring, dynamic committee members who work without ego to do what they can for other fundraisers in the area.

All our groups are run by members on a voluntary basis. If you would like to get involved with any of our committees and help us deliver networking and learning opportunities for fundraisers across the UK,  you will find contact details on their pages.
